Wave Login Error: Why You Can't Sign In and How to Fix It
Locked out of your Wave account? This guide covers every Wave login error -- from forgotten passwords to browser conflicts and account access issues.
What You Are Seeing
Wave login errors typically appear as Invalid email or password, Your account has been locked, Too many failed attempts, or a blank white screen after entering your credentials. In some cases the login page simply refreshes without explanation.
Common Causes
Wrong Email Address
Wave accounts are tied to a specific email. Using an alias or alternate address will fail even if the password is correct.
Browser Cache Conflict
Stale cookies or cached login tokens can block a fresh session from loading correctly.
Account Lockout
Too many failed password attempts triggers a temporary lock. Wave sends an unlock email automatically.
Google / Apple SSO Issue
If you signed up via Google or Apple, using the email/password form will not work -- you must use the same SSO method.
How to Fix Wave Login Errors
Reset Your Password
- 1
Go to waveapps.com and click Sign In.
- 2
Click Forgot your password? below the login form.
- 3
Enter the email address you used to register with Wave.
- 4
Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the reset email and follow the link within 60 minutes before it expires.
- 5
Set a new password and attempt login again.
Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
- 1
In Chrome: press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac).
- 2
Set time range to All time, check Cookies and Cached images and files.
- 3
Click Clear data, then close and reopen the browser.
- 4
Navigate to waveapps.com and try logging in again.
Use the Correct Sign-In Method (Google / Apple SSO)
- 1
On the Wave login page, look for Continue with Google or Continue with Apple.
- 2
Use the same provider you originally signed up with. If you created your account via Google, the email/password form will not work.
- 3
If unsure which method you used, try Google first -- it is the most common SSO option for Wave.
Try a Different Browser or Incognito Mode
- 1
Open a private/incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N in Chrome) and try logging in.
- 2
If that works, the issue is a browser extension or cached data in your main profile.
- 3
Try disabling extensions one by one -- ad blockers and privacy tools commonly interfere with Wave's login page.
Check Wave's Status Page for Outages
- 1
Visit status.waveapps.com to check if Wave is experiencing a platform-wide login issue.
- 2
If an incident is listed, no local fix will help -- wait for Wave to resolve it and monitor the status page for updates.
